actress

After graduating from college, Eschke began his journey through the province. The Pforzheim State Theater was her first culture shock, or better: professional shock . Then she was engaged at the theater of Baden-Baden and also interpreted her first small television roles and many radio plays at the Baden-Baden television station of Südwestfunk (SWF) and was soon a popular radio play speaker at the station.

The film and television director Schwabenitzky made the first test shots. Because she was too young for the intended role, there was no casting. Nevertheless, she decided to pursue a film and television career and turned down theater offers at the Basel Theater and the Zurich Schauspielhaus . She moved to Munich and soon had her first role. Schwabenitzky had not lost sight of Eschke and cast her in 1980 for a leading role in his television series Tour de Ruhr . The production was a great success, so that Schwabenitzky hired it for his next projects, such as the 1982 television series Büro, Büro . In it she played the typist Gaby Neuhammer. This marked the beginning of a long-term, ongoing, successful collaboration and partnership with Schwabenitzky, which resulted in numerous television series, television plays, theater productions and movies. She became a crowd favorite, above all because of the portrayal of strong, cheerful and courageous female characters.
