Elin Nilsen (born August 12, 1968 in Mo i Rana ) is a former Norwegian cross-country skier who was active from 1990 to 2004.

At the Olympic Games and World Championships she won a total of six silver and two bronze medals, all with the Norwegian relay. It was never enough to win. Her best result in an individual Olympic race was fourth place in the 30-kilometer race in 1992 and 1998. Nilsen's best individual result in a world championship race in 1999 was fourth place over 15 kilometers.

In the FIS Cross-Country World Cup Nilsen was also never win a single race. In the 1991/92 season she reached a second place and was fifth overall. In the 2001/02 season she started in the cross-country skiing marathon cup . She won the Tartu Maraton and finished second in the Transjurassienne and came second in the overall marathon cup ranking.

Elin Nilsen is also the record winner of the traditional Norwegian fun run Skarverennet. She won the competition a total of thirteen times (1988–1992 and 1998–2006, canceled in 2003) and thus set an unattainable mark, especially since she was undefeated in eight consecutive editions.
