Elkan Nathan Adler

Elkan Nathan Adler (born July 24, 1861 in London ; † September 15, 1946 there ) was a British lawyer and academic traveler.

Adler came from a Jewish family. He became known as a collector of Hebraica and Judaica . He was anti-Zionist and in 1898, together with Samuel Montagu and others, drafted a manifesto against Herzl's project to found a Jewish colonial bank , while Moses Gaster was committed to the bank, which came into being that same year.

Elkan Adler was the half-brother of Hermann Adler .
