On its way downstream, the following communities are passed: Melle, Rödinghausen , Bünde , Kirchlengern , Löhne , Bad Oeynhausen. The route runs roughly parallel to the Autobahn 30 and the Melle – Bad Oeynhausen railway line , so that the following stations are on the route through the Else-Werre-Urstromtal and Osnabrücker Tal: Westerhausen , Melle train station , Melle-Bruchmühlen , Bünde , Kirchlengern , Löhne and Bad Oeynhausen .

Every first Sunday in May, the Else Werre cycling day takes place with many activities. In the west, the cycle path connects to the Hase-Ems-Tour , in the east to the Weser cycle path . A section of the BahnRadRoute Weser-Lippe runs on the same route between Bünde and Kirchlengern . On working days, the quiet on individual sections is disturbed by the heavy truck traffic on the nearby motorway. Between Kirchlengern and Löhne, the Else-Werre-Radweg leads in parts over the old embankment of the Wallückebahn .
