Emil Glöckner
Emil Gustav Adolf Glöckner (born April 10, 1868 in Dresden ; † 1947 ) was a German painter and commercial artist .
Emil Glöckner began his training as a painter at the Dresden School of Applied Arts and continued it from 1886 at the Dresden Art Academy under Friedrich Gonne and from 1890 to 1896 under Ferdinand Wilhelm Pauwels . In the Goppelner Landscape School in Saxon Switzerland he was influenced by Paul Baum and Carl Bantzer . From 1892 he continued to study at the Weimar art school with Max Thedy .
From 1888 Glöckner took part in the exhibitions at the Dresden Academy. In 1891 he exhibited the oil painting "Dryade". From 1896 he worked as a freelance artist. He painted Saxon landscapes, female portraits and nudes as well as genre scenes and oriental motifs.
