Emil Hallensleben

Emil Hallensleben (born February 8, 1867 in Berlin ; † May 2, 1934 there ) was a German lawyer and politician ( DVP ).

Life

After graduating from high school in 1886 at the Grauen Kloster grammar school in Berlin, Hallensleben began studying law at the universities in Heidelberg and Berlin , which he completed in 1889 with the first state examination in law. He then completed his legal clerkship and in 1893 he passed the second state examination in law. He had worked as a lawyer at the Regional Court I Berlin since 1896 and was also admitted as a notary in 1906. He was later appointed to the Council of Justice .

In addition to his legal work, Hallensleben was involved in the Protestant church. Since 1914 he was a member of the Parish Church Congress of St. Marien Berlin, a member of the District Synod I Berlin, the City Synod and the Provincial and General Synod. Since 1925 he was a member of the Provincial Church Council for the Province of Brandenburg and the Church Council of the Evangelical Church in Prussia .

Hallensleben joined the German People's Party (DVP) and had been a member of the Berlin city council since 1918 . He was a member of the Prussian State Council from 1921 to December 30, 1926 and was then a successor to the Prussian State Parliament . In May 1928 he was elected to the state parliament, to which he belonged until 1932. In parliament he represented constituency 2 (Berlin).
