The part of the Ems Cycle Path , formerly known as the EmsAuenWeg (also known as the Emsauenweg ), is now officially known as the “ EmsRadweg - Part of Münsterland ”. It was a 115 km long independent cycle path in the Münsterland .

It was opened in 2004 and runs along the middle Ems via Warendorf , Telgte , past Münster , through Greven , Saerbeck , Emsdetten to Rheine . In 2005, the path was named cycle route of the year in North Rhine-Westphalia . The nature along the unique Emsauen and the perfect signage make the bike path one of the most popular in the Münsterland .

The path runs parallel to railway lines and touches the train stations Warendorf, Telgte, Greven, Emsdetten and Rheine.

Since 2007, the cycle path can be combined with the Werser cycle path to form a circuit.
