Epicorum Graecorum Fragmenta

Epicorum Graecorum Fragmenta (EGF) is the title of two collections of fragments from Greek epic literature .

Kinkel

The first was published in the 19th century by Gottfried Kinkel (1841–1891). The first volume was published by BG Teubner Verlag in 1877, in which the fragments of the archaic epic poets Abaris, Antimachos von Kolophon , Antimachos von Teos , Antiphon , Anyte von Tegea , Arktinos von Milet , Aristeas , Asios von Samos , Augias , Chersias , Choirilos von Jasos , Choirilos of Samos , Demodocus of Leros , Diodorus, Diotimus , Diphilos , Epilykos, Epimenides, Eugammon , Eumelos of Corinth , Hagias , Hege Montesinos , Hesiod , Homer , karkinos , Kerkops , Kinaithon , Conon, Creophylus , Kynaithos of Chios , Lesches , Melanippides , Musaios , Nikeratos, Onomakritos , Panyassis , Peisandros of Kameiros , Phaidimos , Pigres , Pisinos , Stasinos , Telesis and Thestorides . After this first volume, the work remained unfinished.

Davies

The second edition of the Greek epic fragments of this title was published by Malcolm Davies in 1988 in the Göttingen publishing house Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht . Since 2003 it has been supplemented by the bilingual (Greek-English) edition Greek epic fragments: from the seventh to the fifth centuries BC by Martin Litchfield West in the Loeb Classical Library (LCL 497).
