Erich Ansorge

Erich Ansorge (born December 4, 1937 in Schatzlar , Czechoslovakia ) is a former German politician of the Socialist Unity Party of Germany (SED) in the German Democratic Republic (GDR). He was General Director of VEB Rohrkombinat Riesa and from 1986 to 1989 State Secretary in the Ministry of Ore Mining, Metallurgy and Potash .

Life

The son of a miner, Erich Ansorge, began an apprenticeship as a metallurgical worker in the VEB copper and sheet metal goods in Ilsenburg in 1951 . From 1954 to 1957 he attended the workers and farmers faculty in Halle (Saale) and the Bergakademie Freiberg , where he graduated from high school . From 1957 to 1962, Ansorge studied metallurgy in Dnepropetrovsk ( USSR ) and obtained a degree in engineering . During his studies he did two years of military service in the Soviet army and earned the rank of lieutenant .

In 1958 Ansorge joined the SED. In 1964 he became a research assistant and in 1964 full-time secretary for economics in the SED company party organization in the VEB Stahl- und Walzwerk Riesa . In 1966 he was promoted to chief mechanic. From 1968 to 1973 Ansorge completed a remote aspiration at the Moscow Steel Institute and received his doctorate .

In 1969 he became technical director and from 1974 to 1985 he was general director of VEB Rohrkombinat Riesa. From March 1976 to February 1986 he was a member of the SED district leadership in Dresden. In 1981/82 he graduated from the SED party college "Karl Marx" . In 1985 he became Deputy Minister and in 1986 State Secretary in the Ministry for Ore Mining, Metallurgy and Potash of the GDR, which was dissolved after the resignation of the Stoph government in November 1989. After the turning point and the peaceful revolution in the GDR , Ansorge lost all functions in 1990. Until December 1993 he was the managing director of an industrial investment company.
