Erich Limpach (born June 27, 1899 in Charlottenburg , † December 10, 1965 in Coburg ) was a German poet .

Limpach was a customs officer in his main occupation. He mainly wrote poems and aphorisms . His first work was published in 1924 under the title War! Journal pages of a war volunteer . At first, experiences and observations from the First World War were in the foreground of his work. He wrote texts for the Völkischer Beobachter, for example in 1929 a review of Erich Maria Remarque's novel In the West Nothing New .

From 1945 he turned more to the aesthetic themes and also wrote lyrics.

In 1958 he was awarded the Golden Ring of Honor "The German Poem". The founder was the right-wing extremist DKEG ( Deutsches Kulturwerk Europäische Geistes ). Limpach's works before 1945 were still valued in these circles.
