As the most powerful version of this series, it could handle payloads from 100 to 420 kg at heights of 200 to max. Bring 460 km. It required rise times of 230 to 350 s for this.

The first launch on September 26, 1968 from the Kourou launch site failed. Twelve more launches from this area brought the rocket between April 12, 1969 and November 14, 1979 to heights of 196 to 420 km. Two specimens were launched by the Kerguelen in January and February 1975 .
