Ernst Assmann (forest scientist)

Ernst Assmann (born August 16, 1903 in Hirschberg , Sauerland ; † August 21, 1979 in Miesbach ) was a German forest scientist .

Life

After attending the Petrinum humanistic grammar school in Brilon until he graduated from high school in 1922, Assmann first studied mining at his father's request.

Only in 1925, after being accepted for the Prussian Forest Service, was he able to follow his actual inclination and, after completing his internship in Hilchenbach, study forest science at the Hann.
