Eroll Zejnullahu (born October 19, 1994 in Berlin ) is a Kosovar - German football player . He came with his parents as a refugee from Kosovo to Berlin and through the program Integration through Sport to football.

Career

Until 2012, Zejnullahu played for smaller Berlin clubs, including FC Internationale Berlin , before moving to the youth department of 1. FC Union Berlin . On February 1, 2013 (20th match day) he made his second division debut for the Köpenicker when he came on for Michael Parensen in the 89th minute in the 3-1 home win against SV Sandhausen . In the 3: 3 home game against FC St. Pauli on October 17, 2015, the 11th match day of the 2015/16 season , Zejnullahu scored his first professional goal to mean 1: 1 in the 42nd minute. Although he was no longer part of the regular squad under the new coach Jens Keller in the 2016/17 season , in June 2017 he extended his contract, which ran until 2018, prematurely for another year.

For the 2017/18 season Zejnullahu switched to league rivals SV Sandhausen on loan . There he could not assert himself, however, and only came to thirteen second division appearances. For the season 2018/19 returned to Zejnullahu Union Berlin back, came the rise year under the head coach Urs Fischer but to no use second division. At the end of the season he finally left the club after seven years with the end of his contract.

After a brief absence from a club, the third division club FC Carl Zeiss Jena signed the Kosovars at the end of July 2019 and provided them with a two-year contract. With Jena, he was relegated from the 3rd division in 2019/20 .
