Erwin Huber (athlete)

Erwin Huber (born April 5, 1907 in Karlsruhe , † May 23, 2003 in Munich ) was a German athlete who competed twice in the decathlon at the Olympic Games .

At the Olympic Games in Amsterdam in 1928 , Huber took 15th place. Eight years later at the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he was fourth behind three Americans, with a total performance of 7087 points, 188 points behind third place.

Huber started his career at SV Stuttgarter Kickers , later he started for MSV Wünsdorf and DSC Berlin . In 1935 Huber was German champion in the decathlon, in 1932 and 1936 he took second place. The trained sports teacher entered the German Championships again in 1946 and finished fifth in the pole vault. With a height of 1.80 m, Huber's competition weight was 80 kg.
