Ettadhamen-Mnihla or Ettadhamen is a city in the northwest of the Tunisian capital Tunis . It is one of the largest neighborhoods in the suburb of Tunis and had around 132,000 inhabitants in 2009. The urban area covers an area of 24.5 km² and extends over the Ettadhamen delegation of the same name and large parts of the El Mnihla delegation .
In the course of the revolution in Tunisia in 2010/2011 , there were clashes between demonstrators and security forces in Ettadhamen, which also resulted in deaths. The riots in January 2011 also resulted in looting .
