Eurocup 2009/10

The season 2009/10 was the seventh  season of the FIBA Europe discharged Euro Challenge .

The title was won for the first time by the BG Göttingen from Germany .

mode

The 32 participants were divided into eight groups with four teams each in the first group phase. The group winners and the runners-up continued to play in the Last16 phase with four groups of four teams. The two best in each group qualified for the quarter-finals, which was played in a best-of-three series. The semi-finals, the final and the third place match took place in a Final Four tournament.

32 teams took part in the regular season of the Eurochallenge.

  • 24 clubs were directly qualified for the main draw
  • 8 clubs as losers in the qualifying round of the Eurocup
