The European Kendō Federation (EKF, English European Kendo Federation ) is the umbrella organization for the Japanese Budō disciplines Kendō , Iaidō and Jōdō in Europe .

It has around forty member states, including non-European countries. Since 1974 the EKF has organized the Kendo European Championship every year in which no Kendo World Championship is held (every three years) . In 2008 the 22nd European Championship was held in Helsinki , 2010 the 23rd European Championship in Debrecen and in 2011 the 24th European Championship in Gdynia . For 2013, the German Kendobund was awarded the contract for the organization in Berlin .

In addition, the EKF organizes graduation exams and courses. President is the Belgian Alain Ducarme . The EKF is a member of the International Kendo Federation .
