Eva Gottstein

Eva Gottstein (born November 12, 1949 in Eichstätt ) is a German local and state politician ( free voters ). Since 2008 she has been a member of the Bavarian State Parliament . Since November 2018 she has been the representative of the Bavarian state government for volunteering.

Career

After graduating from high school at the humanistic Willibald High School in Eichstätt, Gottstein studied German, geography and economics for teaching at secondary schools at the Ludwig Maximilians University in Munich . She then entered the Bavarian civil service. Since 2005 she has been the principal and deputy principal of the Senefelder Comprehensive School in Treuchtlingen .

In 1994 she joined the Free Voters of Bavaria and was elected Deputy State Chairman in 1998. In 2004 she took over the chairmanship of the district association of Upper Bavaria and has been a member of the federal board of free voters since the same year.

She took on her first political mandate after the local elections in 1996 in the city council of Eichstätt and in the district council of the district of Eichstätt . She was confirmed in these functions in the local elections in 2002 and 2008. In the spring of 2006 she ran for the office of mayor in her hometown and received 8.6 percent of the votes in the first ballot. In the state elections in 2008 , she entered the Bavarian state parliament for the first time at number 1 in the constituency of Upper Bavaria . There she was a member of the committee for education, youth and sport and deputy chairwoman of the FREE VOTERS parliamentary group.

Since the state elections in 2018 , in which Gottstein was elected to the Bavarian state parliament for the third time in a row, she has been spokeswoman for women's and educational policy, as well as spokeswoman for equality and volunteering in her parliamentary group.

Furthermore, Gottstein is deputy. Chair of the Committee for Education and Culture in the Bavarian State Parliament.

In July 2018, Gottstein founded the working group "Free Voters - The Women" together with women from the Free Voters Association and has been the Bavarian-wide chairman since then. In addition, she was elected to the state executive committee of the KDFB that same year.

In 1969 Eva Gottstein married her husband Peter, who ran a music shop in Eichstätt. The couple have two sons and two daughters. You live in Eichstätt.
