Support association

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A development association is usually an association whose main purpose is to connect financially powerful donors and an underfunded non-profit organization . Friends' associations are a form of civic engagement in civil society .

A development association differs from a classic association in that the association's purpose does not focus on the direct "enjoyment of doing", for example, association-owned events or joint sporting activities among members, but rather in soliciting donations ( fundraising ) and maintaining relationships and advertising for the activity of others. For this purpose, development associations also organize sociable or cultural benefit events, excursions and other typical association events.

Often one can find development associations that see themselves as a network between a group of active people and potential sponsors from the business world.
