FC Vendenheim
The Football Club Vendenheim Alsace is a French football club from the Alsatian Vendenheim . He has made a name for himself in particular through his women's football department . The club color is red.
history
The association was founded in 1927. The women's football department was created in 1974 when the players of FC Schwindratzheim , who had recently won the championship in Alsace, joined the FCV. Women players remained dominant in the region until the late 1970s. Since the introduction of a nationwide league, Division 1 Féminine (1992), the women of FC Vendenheim have mostly played in the second division , the record champions (three D2F titles) being FCV. In the seasons 2004/05, 2007 to 2009 and 2011 to 2013, however, they were represented in the first division.
Nowadays, women play their home games in the local Stade Waldeck , but occasionally avoid encounters with the leading teams in Division 1 in Strasbourg's Stade de la Meinau . The men of the club, however, have never got beyond the regional amateur league area.
