Fabian Lamotte (born February 25, 1983 in Marsberg ) is a German football player on the position of a defender .

Career

The defender, who mostly played on the right side, started at TuS Hesperinghausen . In 1998 he moved to the youth team of FC Schalke 04 and later played for the second team, with which he rose to the Regionalliga Nord in 2003 . In 2002 he won the German junior cup with the A-youth team of FC Schalke 04. Lamotte made his Bundesliga debut on March 13, 2004 against Eintracht Frankfurt . Three weeks later he scored his only goal in the top German division against Hamburger SV with a right-footed shot. However, he could not prevail at Schalke and therefore moved in 2005 after a total of only ten Bundesliga appearances in the 2nd Bundesliga to TSV 1860 Munich .

In the first half of the 2006/07 season he was used in only two league games. In January 2007 he moved to SK Sturm Graz in the Austrian Bundesliga , where he was able to secure a regular place straight away. In June 2009 he extended his contract by one year until the end of the 2009/10 season. After the season, his contract with Sturm Graz was not extended. Fabian Lamotte then kept fit with the Hertha BSC U23, but initially couldn't find a new employer after an Achilles tendon rupture. At the beginning of February 2012, the Berlin league club BFC Viktoria 1889 signed the previously contractless Lamotte. He then ended his professional career and played in the state league for TSV 1865 Dachau , with whom he rose in the Bavarian League in 2014 . Since April 2016 he has also been training the team in Bavaria's second-highest football league.
