Fabri Fibra (* 17th October 1976 in Senigallia as Fabrizio Tarducci ) is an Italian rapper .

Career

Fabrizio Tarducci became interested in music as a teenager. His artistic pseudonym Fabri Fibra is a play on words with the short form of his first name. In 1995 he recorded his first demo . He was active in the hip-hop collective Teste Mobili Crew and joined forces with producer DJ Lato to form the group Uomini di Mare . They released the album Sindrome di fine millennio (1999) as well as several demos and EPs.

In 2002 Fabri Fibra began his solo career with the album Turbe giovanili , which he released in collaboration with Neffa . Two years later, Mr. Simpatia followed , in collaboration with his brother Nesli . In 2006 the rapper signed a record deal with the major label Universal . The first album was titled Tradimento and immediately topped the Italian charts. The single Applausi per Fibra was also successful. Just one year later he added Bugiardo , which was reissued in 2008 and contained the single In Italia in collaboration with Gianna Nannini .

Together with an accompanying film on DVD, the fifth album Chi vuole essere Fabri Fibra? whose first single Incomprensioni was a sample of the song Per me è importante by Tiromancino . The next album, Controcultura, proved to be particularly successful in 2010 : It reached the top of the charts and the two singles Vip in Trip and Tranne te also made it to number two in the charts. Fabri Fibra joined forces with Clementino in 2012 to form the Rapstar project and released the album Non è for free .

With Guerra e pace , the rapper also returned solo in 2013 and reached number one in the charts for the third time. Successful single from it was Pronti, partenza, via! . The eighth album Squallor was released in 2015 without prior notice. In 2016, an anniversary edition of the first successful album Tradimento was published, in 2017 it was the turn of the next regular album: Fenomeno brought Fabri Fibra back to the top of the chart.
