Falko Lorenz
Falko Lorenz (born November 4, 1940 in Erfurt ) is a German mathematician.
Lorenz received his doctorate in 1966 at the University of Tübingen (determination of Schur's indices of characters of finite groups ). He is a professor at the University of Münster . He wrote some of the algebra textbooks widely used in German-speaking countries.
He is an external member of the Academy of Charitable Sciences in Erfurt .
Hans Opolka (Prof. TU Braunschweig) is one of his doctoral students .
