Fanfare procession Potsdam
The Spielgemeinschaft Fanfarenzug Potsdam e. V. (formerly "Dr. Richard Sorge " fanfare procession of SG Dynamo " FE Dzierzynski " Potsdam) is a fanfare procession from the Brandenburg state capital Potsdam . In competitions for fanfare trains in the GDR, the group won the title of GDR master eleven times and was the only holder of this title. The musicians took part in national and international competitions in the field of pure nature fanfare music.

The Fanfarenzug was founded on June 30, 1963 with five members. In July 1969 the group played at the invitation of the DTSB's musicians division for the GDR gymnastics and sports festival in Leipzig's central stadium in front of 100,000 spectators. Further appearances and competitions followed, this musical performance was performed more than 3000 times. The formation took part in the GDR championships for fanfare trains from 1970 to 1990 and was the only holder of this title to win the championship title eleven times.
Since 1991 the musicians have participated in international competitions for fanfare parades, including in Austria (Bundesturnfest 1991), Belgium (Lage Landen, Hamont 1994, 1996, 2000, 2002, 2008), Canada ( Calgary Stampede Parade 1996), Great Britain (1998) , Australia (WAMSB World Championship 1999), Italy (2003), Denmark (Danish Open in Copenhagen 2007). With four participations in the WMC Kerkrade in the Netherlands one occupied places in the front midfield. The club regularly takes part in the Fanfaronade (open championships of the Märkischer Turnerbundes).
The non-profit association is active in the musical education and training of children, young people and adults. One goal is the integration of disabled people into the work of the association. He organizes cultural and leisure events. The repertoire of the 100 wind instruments and drummers (as of 2007) ranges from arrangements of festive fanfare music to marching music to modern light music .
