Federica Guidi (born May 19, 1969 in Modena ) is an Italian lawyer and entrepreneur . From February 22, 2014 to April 5, 2016, she was Minister of Economic Affairs in the Renzi cabinet . She does not belong to any party.

After graduating from university, Guidi worked as a financial analyst for two years and joined the family business Ducati Energia in 1996 . From 2002 to 2005 she was chairman of the Association of Young Entrepreneurs of the Emilia-Romagna Region and at the same time deputy chairman of the regional association of entrepreneurs . In 2005 she became deputy chairwoman of the young entrepreneur organization within the employers ' association Confindustria , and then chairwoman in 2008. Guidi is a member of the Trilateral Commission .

On March 31, 2016, Guidi submitted her resignation as Minister of Economic Affairs after it became known that she had politically supported the business interests of her partner and thus also of the French energy company Total .
