Felix Poletti

Felix Poletti (born July 23, 1965 ) is a former Swiss skeleton driver .

Felix Poletti from the Zurich Bob Club made his debut in January 1995 at a skeleton World Cup race in Altenberg , where he finished 27th. In the following race in Igls he improved to eleventh place, in the third race in Königssee he came in ninth in the top ten for the first time. In the same year he took part in his first skeleton world championships in Lillehammer , where he was tenth. In the following years Poletti achieved good placings again and again, such as a third place in a World Cup race in La Plagnein December 1997. He drove his best World Cup season in 1996/96 as seventh in the overall World Cup. Poletti's most outstanding result on the international stage was winning the bronze medal at the 1998 World Championships in St. Moritz . In 2002 he took part in the skeleton competitions, which were held at the Olympic Games for the first time since 1948, and was 16th. In 2003 he ended his international career and became a coach, but he still competes in the Swiss championship. He won these in 1998, 1999 and 2001. In 2000 and 2003 he was runner- up behind Gregor Stähli , and in 2005 he was also third.
