Fiona Swarovski

Fiona Swarovski , officially Fiona Pacifico Griffini-Grasser (* January 21, 1965 as Fiona Winter in Basel ), is an entrepreneur and fashion designer from Austria .

The Swarovski heiress has been married to the former Austrian Finance Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser since 2005 , has Swiss , Italian and Austrian citizenship and speaks five languages.

Life

Fiona Swarovski, née Winter, was born in 1965 to Marina Giori, née Langes, and the Basel entrepreneur Philipp Winter. Fiona's mother, a great-granddaughter of Daniel Swarovski , was married to the Italian Gualtiero Giori and has the second largest share in Swarovski KG after her brother Gernot Langes-Swarovski with around 13 percent . Fiona's maternal grandmother, Gertrude Langes (* 1916, † July 11, 2007), was born to Swarovski as the daughter of Daniel Swarovski's son Alfred. Fiona Swarovski has a sister named Anouschka Vogiatzakis (née Winter). Since 2007 the German entrepreneur Adalbert H. Lhota has been her stepfather as the third husband of Fiona's mother.

Fiona Swarovski studied art history in Basel , Lausanne , London and Lugano and then worked for the auction house Sotheby’s . She later attended the Parsons School of Design in New York and founded the design company Fiona Winter Studio in Milan in 2002 .

Fiona Swarovski was first married to the Swiss financier Giovanni Mahler. Her children Arturo (* 1991) and Nicholas (* 1994) come from a second marriage with the Italian Andrea Pacifico Griffini. With her third husband, the Italian finance manager John Balzarini, she has the daughter Tayla (* 2001). In 2005, after a short liaison, Fiona Swarovski married the then Austrian Finance Minister Karl-Heinz Grasser with great media attention. In 2007 she had another daughter, Grasser.

Fiona Swarovski is a member of Austrian high society and as such is the subject of media reports time and again. She lives with Grasser on Vienna's Ringstrasse , in Carinthia and in Kitzbühel .

Surname

The use of this name by Fiona Pacifico Griffini-Grasser caused controversy within the Swarovski family, who insisted on the public being officially called Fiona Winter-Swarovski , although only her mother's mother, Gertrude Langes, was a native Swarovski.

The Austrian rapper Julian Sell Master (aka Yung Hurn ), published under the pseudonym Fiona Swarovski Jr. the song poison .
