Fyodor Osipovich (Franz Albert) Schechtel ( Russian Фёдор Осипович Шехтель * July 26 . Jul / 7. August  1859 greg. In Saint Petersburg , † 7. July 1926 in Moscow ) was a famous Russian architect of German descent. He was one of the founders of Art Nouveau in architecture . His hometown Moscow is adorned by over 40 buildings built according to his designs, including the building of the Yaroslavl railway station , the house of the manufacturer Ryabushinsky , the building of the Art Theater and the house of the Moscow Merchant Society.
