Fyodor Vasilyevich Tokarev ( Russian Фёдор Васильевич Токарев ., Scientific transliteration Fedor Tokarev Vasil'evič ; born June 2 . Jul / 14. June  1871 greg. In Yegorlykskaya ; † 7. June 1968 in Moscow ) was a Russian designer of handguns .

Fyodor Tokarew became known for the construction of rifle weapons, which were manufactured in Tula and were part of the equipment of the Red Army . Examples are the TT-33 pistol or the SWT-40 semi-automatic rifle . In recognition of his work, he was awarded the Order of Hero of Socialist Labor in 1940 .
