The Ioannina Airport ( alternatively Ioannina "King Pyrros" airport or Ioannina "Epirus" Airport , Greek Κρατικός Αερολιμένας Ιωαννίνων "Βασιλεύς Πύρρος" ; IATA Code : IOA , ICAO code : LGIO ) is a national airport in the west of Greece . It is located about two kilometers west of the village of Perama and five kilometers northwest of the eponymous city of Ioannina . The airport is operated by the Greek Hellenic Civil Aviation Authority , or HCAA for short. The airport has a runway with a length of 2,400 m, oriented 14/32. In 2015 around 85,000 passengers used the airport.
