The Turku airport ( Finnish : Turun lentoasema , Swedish : Åbo flygplats ) is located north of Turku , about 10 kilometers from the center. It is the fourth largest airport in Finland in terms of the number of passengers (324,077 in 2016).

Airlines and Destinations

Finnair offers flights from Turku to the domestic airports Helsinki , Kittilä and Mariehamn . These flights are operated by My Jet Xpress Airlines .

The Hungarian low-cost airline Wizz Air offers international flights from Turku. Their destinations are Gdansk , Kaunas , Krakow , Kutaisi , Skopje and Warsaw .

The Swedish regional airline Air Leap operates flights between Mariehamn and Turku, some of which are operated by FlexFlight .

Regional Jet (on behalf of SAS Scandinavian Airlines ) and Danish Air operate flights to Stockholm .

Air Baltic offers flights to Riga .

Directions

A city bus line runs regularly from the airport via the city center (travel time: around 20 minutes) to the port (around 40 minutes). There are also various rental car companies at the airport.
