Forbidden Passage is an American short film from 1941. It was produced in black and white in the film series Crime Does Not Pay, directed by Fred Zinnemann . The US premiere took place on February 8, 1941.

The film was produced as part of the Crime Does Not Pay series. The series portrayed various crimes or offenses, their investigation and the subsequent punishment of the perpetrators. Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer produced around 50 episodes between 1935 and 1947. The production of the series was a consequence of the massive criticism of various groups of the violence and crime glorifying Hollywood films of the 1920s and 1930s.
