Forza Europa was a political group in the European Parliament .

In the 1994 European elections in Italy , Forza Italia , the party founded by Silvio Berlusconi at the beginning of the year , was the strongest party with 30.6% of the vote. The 27 MEPs elected on the Forza Italia list formed the Forza Europa group. Of the 27 MPs, 24 belonged to Forza Italia, two to the Centro Cristiano Democratico and one to the Unione di Centro . Giancarlo Ligabue became the chairman of the parliamentary group that was constituted on July 19, 1994 . At the end of 1994, Enrico Ferri (Centro Cristiano Democratico (CCD), elected on the list of the Partito Socialista Democratico Italiano , previously non-attached) and Marilena Marin ( Federalisti e Liberaldemocratici , elected on the list of the Lega Nord , previously in the ELDR parliamentary group ) joined the Parliamentary group.

On July 6, 1995 Forza Europa united with the group of the rallying movement of the European democrats - mainly supported by the Irish Fianna Fáil and the French RPR - to the group Union for Europe (UfE). In 1995 the members of the CCD left the UfE, in 1998 the members of Forza Italia to join the EPP group .
