Francesco Valle (born February 15, 1940 in Genoa , † April 10, 2003 ) was an Italian middleweight boxer.

career

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964 , he won the bronze medal in the middleweight division . With points wins against the Brazilian Luiz Cezar and the Chilean Guillermo Salinas , he advanced to the semifinals, but failed there because of the representative of the all-German team, Emil Schulz .

Valles professional career was short and unspectacular. It only lasted eleven months and gave him a balanced match record: three wins out of three defeats. Since he only fought against compatriots, he was not well known in boxing circles. After three point defeats in a row, he consequently ended his career.
