Francisco Gutiérrez Álvarez (born June 3, 1980 ) is a Spanish cyclist .

Career

Francisco Gutiérrez won the 2002 Copa de España overall standings and a stage in the Vuelta a Navarra . Later at the world championship in Zolder , Belgium , he secured the silver medal in the road race of the U23 drivers behind the winner Francesco Chicchi . In 2003 and 2004 he rode for the Spanish cycling team Café Baqué . In the 2005 season he again won the overall ranking of the Copa de España, a stage at the Vuelta a Ávila and a stage and the overall ranking of the Vuelta a Salnes. In 2006, Gutiérrez was successful at Prueba Santa Cruz, the Copa de España, the Vuelta a Cantabria, La Montaña Vasca and Altzoko Igoera.
