Frank Vogel (* 26. July 1963 in Schwerin ) is a former German football player in the defense . He played for BFC Dynamo and BSG Energie Cottbus in the GDR league .

Career

Vogel played in his youth from 1971 to 1977 at SG Dynamo Schwerin and then went through the youth departments of BFC Dynamo up to the first team. On April 16, 1983 he made his debut in the league when he was substituted on the 21st matchday in the 4-0 win against Halleschen FC Chemie in the 74th minute. In 1986 he was signed by the top division club BSG Energie Cottbus. On August 16, 1986, the first matchday, he was in the starting line-up in the 3-1 defeat against FC Karl-Marx-Stadt . In the following years Vogel was also a regular player and only missed three games. On the last day of the 1986/87 season , June 6, 1987, he scored the goal in the 88th minute to win the 0-1 win against BSG Stahl Brandenburg . After relegation to the second-rate GDR league, Vogel was one of the permanent staff and played 33 games in which he met once. In the following three seasons in the league in 1988/89 , 1989/90 and 1990/91 he was regularly on the field. During that time he scored five goals in 69 games. In 1991 he switched to the | 1. FC Union Berlin , which, like Cottbus, played in the third-class Northeast football league after the fall of the Berlin Wall . In his first season for Berlin, he scored nine goals in 32 league games. In the following season he still came to 20 missions and three hits before he ended his career in 1993.
