Franz Bueb

Franz Bueb (* 1916 or 1919 in Schleswig-Holstein ; † May 26, 1982 in Vienna or in Grillenberg, municipality of Berndorf in Lower Austria) was a German- Austrian portraitist and landscape painter who primarily created watercolors for the US money nobility and jet sets painted.

life and work

Bueb attended the Berlin art college and emigrated to the USA before the outbreak of the Second World War , where he found employment as a poster painter, decorator and fashion draftsman. After a first exhibition in Washington, DC in 1943 , he became a society painter.
