Franz Hasiba

Franz Hasiba (born August 3, 1932 in Graz ) is an Austrian agricultural engineer and politician ( ÖVP ).

career

Hasiba was regional party secretary of the ÖVP-Styria between 1966 and 1973 and then from 1973 to 1983 second deputy mayor of Graz. He then shared a term of office with Alfred Stingl (SPÖ) as mayor of Graz, with Hasiba holding the office of mayor between 1983 and January 10, 1985. After that, Hasiba was sworn in as a state councilor on January 11, 1985 and elected as deputy governor on October 18, 1991. On October 19, 1993 Hasiba moved to the Styrian state parliament . Due to his re-election on January 12, 1996, he held the office of First President of the State Parliament until the end of 2000 .
