Franz Karl Hirtler (born April 17, 1885 in Freiburg im Breisgau ; † July 15, 1947 in Lörrach ) was a German teacher and writer .

Franz Karl Hirtler was born on April 17, 1885 as the son of the chief economic manager Franz Hirtler and his wife Frieda, née Schmelzte, in Freiburg im Breisgau. The Rotteck Oberrealschule local he graduated in 1901 with the intermediate certificate from. In the period from 1901 to 1904, Hirtler completed a course of study at the teachers' college in Ettlingen . This was followed by several positions as a teacher in the Odenwald and the Black Forest , where he last taught in Altsimonswald . In 1913 Franz Hirtler married Monika Englhard. From 1916 to 1918 he did military service on the Western Front . From 1919 Hirtler worked as a main teacher in Freiburg. In addition to his professional activities, he studied literary history and philosophy at the Albert-Ludwigs-Universität Freiburg . Since 1934, Hirtler was both the author and editor of both the Lahrer Hinkenden Bote and Leebel's Rhineland family friend . In 1946 he was appointed rector and led training courses for teachers in Gengenbach and Bad Rippoldsau . In 1947 Hirtler became director of the Lörrach Pedagogical Academy.
