Franz Wilhelm Harsewinkel

Franz Wilhelm Harsewinkel (born November 6, 1796 in Wiedenbrück , † March 3, 1872 in Münster ) was a geometer , government conductor and amateur painter .

Life

Franz Wilhelm Harsewinkel was born in Wiedenbrück on November 6, 1796 as the son of a dignitary family. His parents were Johan Heinrich Wilhelm Ludwig Harsewinkel (1763-1820) and Helena Greve (1770-1837). He was baptized on November 7, 1796 in Wiedenbrück.

After Harsewinkel trained as a land surveyor , he worked as a government conductor, i.e. as a building supervisor or on surveying work, in Münster , Westphalia . As a sideline he worked as a painter and drawing teacher . So far eight works, including portraits , religious pictures and a view of the town from Münster, have been identified.

Harsewinkel died on March 3, 1872 in Münster.
