Delimitation and structure

The Friborg Prealps are generally included in the Bernese Prealps , as the prelude to the Bernese Alps north of Hinteren Gasse . After the Swiss Alpine Club , they form their own group, described in an alpine guide. Even the mountain Rother leads independently under no. 74. According to the proposal of a new classification SOIUSA they belong as a supergroup 14.ib to subsection 14.I. Vaud and Friborg Prealps .
