Friedhelm Zeuner

Friedhelm Zeuner (* 1936 in Kiel ) is a German architect .

biography

After completing a mason apprenticeship in Hamburg and studying architecture in Darmstadt, Zeuner found a partnership with the architect Friedhelm Grundmann in the mid-1960s with the design for the new Simeon Church .

Under the partnership Grundmann, Rehder, Zeuner (GRZ), in addition to various new buildings of different building types with a focus on church building, monument conservation plans were carried out and, among other things, a. the restoration or redesign of the historic fleet houses in Deichstrasse and Nikolaifleet in Hamburg's old town.

In 1971 Zeuner founded the factory (Hamburg) together with the artist Horst Dietrich in Hamburg-Altona .

FACTORY Hamburg

Germany's first communication center was built in a former machine factory and was a model for many other centers. Zeuner received the architecture award of the Hamburg Senate for the renovation of the nave-like space with two surrounding galleries.

In the 1970s Zeuner left the GRZ partnership and ran his own office as a freelance architect. During this phase Zeuner u. a. in the quarter between Rondeel and Dorotheenstrasse in Hamburg Winterhude residential and office buildings and u. a. the residential development Rondeel 23-25.
