Friedrich Luisen Medal

The Friedrich-Luisen-Medal was donated on September 9, 1906 by Grand Duke Friedrich I of Baden and could be awarded to all persons who have made merits in the field of social welfare.

The round medal was made of gilded bronze and shows the right-facing portrait of the founder and his wife Luise Marie Elisabeth of Prussia . On the back you can see the two inclined coats of arms of Baden (left) and Prussia (right), which are surmounted by a crown. Between the two coats of arms a rose and underneath the dates 1856 - 1906 and the date 20.9. , the couple's wedding anniversary.

The award was worn on a yellow ribbon with red side and white stripes on the left chest. Women wore the decoration on a lady's bow.
