Friedrich-Wilhelm Junge (born July 15, 1938 in Schwerin ) is a German actor . Junge is the founder of the Dresdner Brettl Theater ( Theaterkahn ).

Life

After graduating from the Goethe High School in Schwerin , Junge studied from 1957 to 1960 at the “Hans Otto” theater school in Leipzig .

In 1960 he got an engagement at Theater Rudolstadt and from 1962 at Theater Plauen in Vogtland . From 1966 to 1985, Junge was a member of the ensemble at the Dresden State Theater . After minor engagements at the Volksbühne Berlin and the Bavarian State Theater in Munich between 1985 and 1987, Junge founded the Dresdner Brettl in 1988 , of which he was artistic director until 2005.

In addition to his theater roles, Junge has put on stage cabaret, chanson and literary programs. He has also appeared on television a number of times and has appeared in DEFA films, including 1979 in Addio, piccola mia and 1984 in the fairy tale film The Queen .

In 1989 Junge was a founding member of the New Saxon Art Association and in 1997 of the support group for the reconstruction of the Dresden synagogue . He is a full member of the Performing Arts & Film class at the Saxon Academy of the Arts . In addition, Junge was a member of the Cultural Senate of the Cultural Foundation of the Free State of Saxony for many years.

Junge lives in the Radebeul district of Oberlößnitz .

Awards

Junge was awarded the Federal Cross of Merit on ribbon in 1995. In 1999 he received the art prize of the state capital Dresden , in 2003 the art prize of the large district town of Radebeul .
