Friedrich Frankowitsch (* 1959 in Sontheim an der Brenz ) is a German sculptor who makes sculptures from scrap.

Originally a prop master for theater and opera, Frankowitsch began in 1993 to implement not only the directors' specifications, but also his own ideas.

In 2000 Frankowitsch exhibited in Ulm , 2001 in Tübingen . Today the autodidact lives as a freelance artist in Sontheim. His works are also exhibited in Linz and Saint-Valery-en-Caux , for example .

In Brenz Castle in Sontheim there is a permanent exhibition with objects by Frankowitsch. There is a sculpture park with his works on the market square in Brenz .

In 2010 Frankowitsch created a sculpture from scraps of steel that shows the resistance fighter Georg Elser waiting for a train towards Munich with sticks of dynamite in his suitcase.
