Frog fountain (Bozen)
The frog fountain is a fountain on the station square in Bozen .
The fountain was designed by the Bolzano sculptor Ignaz Gabloner and built in 1930. Its special features include water-spouting frogs on the edge of the pool and five central amphorae , which symbolize South Tyrol's five main rivers Etsch , Eisack , Rienz , Talfer and Passer . During the Second World War the fountain was destroyed and later rebuilt with small changes according to the original design.
