The Football Oberliga Nord 1992/93 was the nineteenth season of the third-class Oberliga Nord run by the North German Football Association .
The champions were VfL Herzlake , who, like runner-up 1. SC Norderstedt, qualified for the promotion round to the 2. Bundesliga . There Herzlake (group 2) and Norderstedt (group 3) each took fourth place and remained in the Oberliga Nord.
The third-placed team from Werder Bremen took part in the German amateur championship final, where they lost to SV Sandhausen in the final .
With the relegation of Eintracht Braunschweig , VfL Osnabrück and VfB Oldenburg from the 2nd Bundesliga, in addition to Eintracht Nordhorn and TSV Havelse , last year's promoters TuS Lingen , SVG Göttingen 07 and Altona 93 were relegated to one of the subordinate leagues . In return for the following season, VfB Lübeck and Preußen Hameln rose to the Oberliga Nord.
