Foxtail (jewelry)

The fox tail or fox tail , called a fuse by the hunters , actually a red fox tail , is considered a fool's attribute in southwest Germany and is often worn there with the rabbit . Fox and other fur tails are used as fashion accessories in the form of key rings or bag tags.

In traditional parforce hunts , it was customary in some places to decorate participants who had shown outstanding performance with the severed tail of the fox they had shot.

In some students compounds , it is customary that the fox Major as an additional identification, a foxtail on its cap secured.

In the 1980s in particular, it was widespread to attach foxtails to rear-view mirrors and antennas of cars, and this was particularly true of Opel Manta drivers.
