Sambale works his works mainly in wood and bronze. With his bronze figures, the human being is the focus of his work as a king. They stand on oak steles, usually at eye level for the viewer. The developed basic type of his figures varies through different postures. Reduced and stylized, they express dignity and inwardness.
Another focus of Sambale is series of shapes made from trunk wood. For him, the origin of the artistic exploration of rows of shapes is not the wood alone, but the tree, which was created by the flowing forces of form in nature. From these form forces he develops metamorphoses within the individual series of forms, which in their organic structure are reminiscent of bone-like growth, cell division and seedling. The works move between organic and concrete form.
