Gabriele Fischer (journalist)

Gabriele Fischer (born January 25, 1953 in Karlsruhe ) is the editor-in-chief of the business magazine brand eins .

Life

Gabriele Fischer studied political science, sociology and German.

She began her journalistic career at Weser-Kurier , then became editor and deputy editor-in-chief of Manager-Magazin . In 1998 she became editor-in-chief of Econy , which later became brand eins . She also acts as the magazine's publisher.

Fischer received numerous awards for her work, including the Theodor Wolff Prize in 1981 .

Gabriele Fischer was a member of the Board of Trustees of the Johanna Quandt Foundation until she  resigned from office in April 2008 - as did Christoph Keese and Mathias Müller von Blumencron . This was a reaction to the documentary Das Schweigen der Quandts , which examined the family's entanglements during the Nazi era .
